Minds Matter NYC is a three year program designed for low income and high performing high school students. Minds Matter provides four services to prepare current ninth grade students for college; SAT Prep, Writing Instruction, Mentorship & College Advising and Summer Programs. In  25 years, they have sent 100% of the students to 4 year colleges with aid to supplement the costs.

Minds Matter’s volunteer-driven mentoring program pairs students with not just one but two volunteer mentors, along with 9 other volunteer tutors and advisors, who guide their students through the three years of the program.  There are over 500 dedicated volunteers drawn from a spectrum of fields, representing such firms as JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Google, Buzzfeed, Oliver Wyman, Palantir Technologies, Warby Parker, Hunt Lane Capital, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Ernst & Young and Kirkland & Ellis.
